West Ham manager Allardyce fined for criticizing ref after FA Cup loss

The English Football Association has slapped West Ham manager Sam Allardyce with a $12,500 (U.S.) fine for criticizing referee Phil Dowd following his team’s loss to third round replay loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup on January 16.

The FA has also warned Allardyce about his future conduct after the veteran Hammers’ boss said Dowd favoured Manchester United during the match.

Allardyce denied the charges that he questioned the integrity of match officials and brought the game into disrepute.
